Erie, PA- The Erie Commodores will be looking to make Saxon Stadium (Mercyhurst University) a fortress on May 28th at 7:30 PM when they play the third game of their 2022 NPSL season versus the Pittsburgh Hotspurs. The Commodores are looking to reset following back-to-back losses against Cleveland S.C. and FC Buffalo.
The Commodores threatened early in both games before unfortunately fading. Forward Shawn Rapal grabbed a late consolation goal in the game against Cleveland. But Head Coach Ashley Phillips will be determined to claim victory on Memorial Day Weekend.
Saturday’s opponents, Pittsburgh Hotspurs started as a youth developmental team that has been around since the 1980’s which expanded to include an NSPL Club. A lot of the team are home grown right in Western Pennsylvania. The Erie Commodores are looking to defeat some early adversity this season and begin their ascention in the conference with a win.
