History of the Erie Commodores

Erie Commodores FC was founded in 2009 as an locally based team to compete in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), a nationwide amateur league, with approximately 100 teams nationwide, at the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. During this time the club has been regularly successful and provided a number of players to the next level of soccer in the USA. The team has won several conference and regional titles, has played in three national semifinals, as well as a national championship. Because of the Commodores success, they have been invited to the US Open Cup on several occasions.
